Itamar Gilad is a product management coach with over 20 years of experience in product management. Gilad has worked for a number of high-profile tech companies since graduating from the Technion Institute of Technology in 1996. Starting as a software developer with IBM, he moved over to a product management role with Radvision (now Avaya) before taking roles with Microsoft and Google.
For the past four years, Gilad has built up his personal brand as a product management coach, authoring a popular product management blog and giving regular talks and workshops where he champions the product management methodologies he’s created.

During his time at Radvision, Gilad created their SIP developer toolkit product line — an innovation that’s since been utilized in hundreds of VoIP and video conferencing products around the globe.
While at Google, he was instrumental in the launch of Gmail’s tabbed inbox. He also led the platform’s growth team, resulting in 1 billion monthly active users.
More recently, Gilad hosts product management workshops where he teaches how to implement Lean Product Management. He is also responsible for the GIST framework, which seeks to replace product roadmaps as a more efficient process within agile development.

Away from social media, Gilad has built his website to host a range of resources including his popular blog and video recordings of his workshops and talks. Gilad has also written a book, Testing Product Ideas Handbook, where he details how to utilize the AFTER framework to test ideas and validate product ideas with 28 validation techniques.
